Red raspberry leaf has been used for over two centuries as a uterine tonic and a general pregnancy tea. It’s often referred to as “the woman’s herb” because it contains of so many of the nourishing vitamins and minerals that women need, such as calcium, iron, magnesium, and vitamins A, B1, B2, C, and niacin. Raspberry leaf also contains a plant alkaloid called fragarine, which has been found to both tone and relax the uterine muscles, making it the ideal herb for preparing your body to give birth or easing painful menstrual craps.
While I frequently drank raspberry leaf tea thoughout my pregnancy, and do give it partial credit for my super short first time birth, I never really acquired a love for it. So I set out to create a nourishing AND tasty blend that could be used during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond!
After trying out (more than a few) flavor combination I found the perfect combination of raspberry leaf, nettle leaf, rose and peppermint, resulting in my ” Ancient Mother” blend. The earthy, grounding raspberry and nettle leaf combines perfectly with the floral sweetness of rose and refreshing, uplifting mint.
This tea is excellent hot or cold and can be enjoyed throughout the day since it is caffeine free! Add this nourishing brew to your daily routine.
